the way I feel right now

I feel funny
parts of me are squishy like bread dough
and others hard like a fence post
some are stringy and taught
some loosely dangle.
my middle area swells
like a balloon and hangs
off me as if it weren’t a part of
me or maybe as if it doesn’t want
to be
