I Carry Your Heart With Me

(An ode to EE Cummings' 'I carry your heart with me')

Tell me his name....
Maybe, I'll ask the sun,
Perhaps he remembers where he hides it,
Perhaps, I'll ask the wind,
Wishing that it might sing to me
Where it carried it,
Maybe, I'll ask the clouds,
Hoping, it'll sail me to where you flew to,
Somehow, I ought to ask the man on the moon,
Sitting alone, feeling gloom,
Him with the envious eye, miserable inside,
To open the secret to where you reside,
Only...you're in my heart,
where you're meant to be
I carry you with me
