HIV's Secret World Tour

Another miracle of life
--a cell
feeding on antibodies and salty things
dreamed electrically.
of intelligence, of multicellular evolution.
of having a memory of feeling love.
of fitting into a strange hot world.

But for now
immediate survival was in demand
so, swimming in the white moisture
along with the spermatozoa

it moved from the body of the man I loved
that night
to mine.

I contracted with the pleasure.
