Days In June

I miss our days in June
The smiles, jokes, and laughter
Anticipating upcoming days
Day and day after

I miss the feel of summer
The happiness we shared
When one of us would shout for help
And in seconds, we'd be there

I miss the members of our gang
And how each day went slow
Running to finally see each other
Smiles setting our faces aglow

I miss sitting in the shade
To cool down from the sun
Sharing stories and special moments
And always having fun

I miss the hugs that we exchanged
As our way of saying goodbye
But until tomorrow, there'd always be
That glossy look in our eyes

The summer separated us
I still wish to see you soon
And I wanted to take this time to tell you
I miss our days in June
