Big Brother

Is that my Brother yelling at me at the gym
Telling me to push harder, faster if I want to get slim
Is that my big brother telling me to come on now
When I just want to rest and stare out the window
Oh how time claims where words and actions cannot be retracted
The snow falls as I put on my boots and listen to my voice
Tell me brother no I don’t want to play with you in the snow.
Their gone lost summer never recaptured
Is that my brother yelling at the gym
Like a fire breathing dragon push harder
Faster don’t you want to be slim
Is that my brother being impatient
Telling me to come on when
I just want to stare out the window
Time claims like a fishermen’s net
Where words and actions cannot be retracted
The snow falls as I put on my boots and listen to my voice tell me
No brother no I don’t want to play with you in the snow today
If I could only press the big rewind button impossible
The car moves on in a Sahara of loneliness
