Because You Are

You were the girl
Who had everything going
You were smart
Pretty, athletic

You were the girl
Who fell for the guy
You were fooled
And here’s the reason why

Because you were
To willing
Because you were
Naive

You were the girl
Who had her heart broken
You promised not to let
It happen again

You were the girl
Who was alone in the hallway
Who put making friends off
Till someday

Because you were
Not willing
Because you were
Naive

You were the girl
Who in that broken state
Met another guy
And now it’s to late

You are the girl
Who felt that prick
Now you can only pray
That this is not another trick

Because you are
Willing
Because you are
Smart

You are the girl
Who’s found someone who
you can trust and he
trusts you to

Because now you are
Enchanted
Because now you are
Enthused

Because now you are
In love
Because now you are
You…
