Love like An Israeli Spy

She tells me that she’s fine
But she keeps her real emotions
Protected and confined,
She’s secretive like an Israeli spy.

She always leaves me lingering in the dark
Only whispering half her thoughts,
Always concealing her heart.

I have to meditate in loneliness
And collect my shattered ideas;
We seem forever two people
Impossible of becoming one.

I don’t want to leave
But it is too hurtful to stay:
Sometimes your ability to love
Simply withers away.
