A Small Girl (Poetic Soul)
Southwest Detroit,
Old streets, ancient history,
Grey factory town
Weeping lonely rain,
A small girl
Moves from the city
And her cat is left behind.
The birth of melancholy eyes
And a poetic soul
Begin in delicate tenderness.
