Colours And Sounds

The morning buzzes;
The thwack of a wet
Newspaper is an eye
Opener.
Six-A.M. Mahogany
With Apricot rising;
Garbage truck playing
Notes of a fatigued
Bass Viol...
And the chorus begins.
Early Morning Sounds:
The Sparrows hitting
High notes;
The clatter of junk mail...
Paper on aluminum;
Days bedazzled with
Mahogany-Apricot-
Azure-Mauve and
Butter Yellow;
Sounds of metal
And birds singing
Their morning-
Their daytime
Songs.
