World Leaders Count Civilized Zeroes

in nomadic myth legendary ages
“Vanquished predecessors
once fabricated their footheels
over stony calligraphic structures”
hoards invade ride still from steeps

nomadic pastoral safer age planet breaths
earth before we harnessed razor atoms
learned how to strip deforest continents
indifference melt pristine polar ice caps
before blind greed became repeat earth rapes

conventional nuclear chemical biological wars
button push threatens humanity all species
with horrific global event horizon extinctions
ghost echoes we return again to night themes
while world leaders seemingly count zeroes
