synchronized in a few words
expressed that which cannot be written
meaning that which cannot be known
grasped in an instant of mind time

empires complexities
all their inner workings
secret imperial decrees
never penned secrets

revenue wealth sources
passions weather wars
power fluxes personalities
prosperity soars or falls

birth war rules expansions
neglect change revolutions
kaleidoscopic civilizations
ethnic diversity interactions

walls sanctions
trade interactions
iron clad armies
exploitative polices

who rules centuries?
who time challenges?
exalted megalomaniacs?
play games of empires?

hear ticking clocks?
who measures empires?
who weighs their deeds?
who sentences fates?
