Lost In Los Angeles

To be alone
is to be alone...
to be alone
is to be alone...

lost floating
chlorinated submerged;
within a winter day’s
sea sealing confined aloneness.

Even if it were an
empty outdoor steaming spa;
at the prestigious
Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Seated at my towering window
back in run of the house room 1007;
is my purchased eagle eye view
overlooking star sidewalk Hollywood Boulevard.

Traffic people walking standing
the famous aspiring famed Chinese Theatre;
with handprints footprints immortalized
celebrating over 170 celebrities Movie Stars.

Where I put my own hands
stood in their own footprints. (Trying the fit.)
But their aspirations fears betrayals
remain safely pleasantly; ever unknown to me.

True friends
loyal friends
are treasures
beyond measure.

Are more precious
than pearls emeralds
diamonds rubies
pure twenty-four carat gold.

Fame offers no warmth comfort
no love nor heartfelt comprehension
as the long drawn out starved hunger
the inevitable night draws ever nearer.
