Innocence In The Eyes Of A Child

shut your eyes
sweet child
see no evil

preserve
innocence
at all costs

cotton wool
cannot protect
innocent eyes

forever

therefore look not upon
fate karma suffering
cruelty evil choice others

live see not
reality true nature
of this world

never grow to be

a Mahatma Gandhi
a Martin Luther King
a Nelson Mandela

sometimes as innocence
we must cross white line
walk within trigger hairs

to do what is right
to champion good to serve God
to risk life to make

a better world

shut your dove eyes
sweet cherub child
see no vile earth evil
