Genuine Democracy Fought For

true democracy
must be fought for
upheld as an ideal

we all aspire to
we are at the cross roads
it is time the herd

removed the mask
of ignorance apathy
from their faces

decided to collectively
renew embrace the beautiful
dream of their forefathers
