Departure Points

once I would have written verse symphonies
sound serenade as mists enlightenment
soul transform into notes on harmonic journey

few have had ear
heart eye soul tuned
for performance

desire to sit
in rapture enthralled
orchestra sound

now I scribble but a few brief notes
ciphers sound in rush hour traffic
heard pauses amazed with awe blinks

forgets rapidly
rushes on to
departure points
