23feb9 The Day After: Hotel Grand Chancellor

proud beacon
darkness lamp lit
night aspiring

26-story
Hotel Grand Chancellor
is listing badly

leaning tower
threatening to crush
deadfall blocks

damage is
in the ribs
in the guts

hidden in
fatal flaw
at heart

unseen in
a third of
buildings?

spectral limbs
spore carcinomas
skyward loom

cracked cancerous
maze fractured malignant
frame broken bones

beauty split spoilt
ruptured designs
ignorant built tilt

garden city rues
unknown quake fault line
leveling dreams
