Inspiration

"Inspiration is a judgment on a deep level, somewhere down in the ground of our being." Thomas Merton

In the bright morning
when I awake
my soul arises
from sleep's dark cave.

I'll not deny
what it is
that you see.

Just say what I am
and, by you inspired,
that will I be.
