The Long Day Seems To Have No End

THE LONG DAY SEEMS TO HAVE NO END

The long day seems to have no end
Suddenly for one always rushing
There is too much Time.

Old Age these days it seems
Has many years ahead.

One can be deluded and bored
For decades.

And yet now when almost longing for twilight
I know how beautiful the day has been
And how much I have not done in all the years
I might have and should have.

Time is before me still perhaps
But I am of lesser strength.
Will I do what I must?

How light it is still in this too long day
And even the evening not yet begun.
