Is This The Best Poem I Can Write?

IS THIS THE BEST POEM I CAN WRITE?

Is this the best poem I can write?
A poem without Hope,
Without Love,
Without Beauty.
Then why write any Poem at all?
For my own ambitious little name?
For some remembrance of me I dream
Others may have?
For some Love I need so deeply
And live without?
For the child I have always been
And continue wrongly to be?
For just me?
Me Me Me.

There are better people elsewhere
Let God shine His Countenance on them –
