I Could Not Praise Myself

I COULD NOT PRAISE MYSELF

I could not praise myself
For all I had
Or had not done-
And when a few praised me
I felt unworthy-

Yet Praise I wanted
And Love more than Praise
And even more
For God to Care for
those I love.
