Today... 'The Dayspring from on high

The dayspring from on high shone down upon the earth
and Jesus became incarnate by virgin birth.
By the tender mercies of God He came to us
to dispel the great darkness so deep and grievous.

To prepare the way this Great Son of the Highest
led us in the paths of peace and righteousness.
Giving His people the knowledge of salvation
and bringing remission of sins to each nation.
