Today... 'The Chosen One
'This is the King of the Jews', it read...
The notice they hung above Your head,
But You were the Chosen One of God
And that grim road to Calvary trod.
'Father, forgive them...', was Your prayer,
As two thieves were hung beside You there...
'Lord, in Your kingdom, remember me...'
Was one dying thief's departing plea.
'Today, you will be in paradise...'
Came the great promise from Jesus Christ,
The Messiah and the Chosen One,
Our loving Saviour and God's great Son.
