‘Seek someone, cling to him,
Lean on him, rely on him
And be prepared to die with him, ’
A climber taught its seedlings.

‘Repel the next, stand alone,
Spread wings, rely on self,
And be prepared to brave the storm, ’
A tree taught its saplings.

Which mother is right?
