Regrets of the past

I had left my land, my abode,
Many valuables, many pursuits,
All, in times, with little regrets
Like adults fleeing their mothers.
Women I had fallen in love with
Stay still with me in thought.
I still bethink myself of them
Like mothers for their young ones.
