Madhu, you are a darling
To millions over years.
You yourself, perhaps, have no darling.
Many are at wait
To fall at your feet
Or kiss your feet’s dust.
Some child wants to be a doll
But need no doll.
It is horrible
As you, Madhu, are tempting
But are immune to being tempted.
It is more horrible
From an irresistible beauty.
