Why Must I Fear?

i clearly know my stand,

and i am afraid about what happens next,
at first

i do not have
that feather in my hand
to tickle
you,
man of authority,
i do not have the book
of pleasing you,

man of wisdom, man who can make me into a stone,
power of the wand
who in one sway, can turn me into
nothing,

i am not afraid,
i am nothing.
i have always been nothing
and no one

so what must i fear?
