Those Good Works

it is the good decision
the countryside
those works and not the words
the silence and not
the fight
the arms that embrace
not the mouth
that argues
it is not a question actually of
winning or losing
it is the making of the bridge
between you
and them
no one says who triumphs
when the good is
finally done
