So I May Forget You

so i may forget you
the one that i truly love
the one that persists in time
like a moss to a stone
i have decided to be
with so many
and so shallow and so fast

swift, supersonic
ball of fire.

alacritous,
fleet footed bird
high up in the air
and diving headlong
to the ground
dead.
