has cancer of the prostate

he has enough
of life: five children practicing

their professions and 8 grandchildren
to cheer him up

he is 78
and he says he is complete

no chemo
no surgery
nothing

saw him this pm
teaching still as if the bad news is nothing

living life
and giving it the chance to end itself
with all grace.
