Promise Me My Love

promise me my love
that you will no longer mind
our little differences
that from now on
you must begin to see
the forest
(the whole of me)
rather than the trees
(those trivial things
that you bloat
that make me float
and take me away
from you)

promise me
that for better or for worse
you will love me

till the next life.
