Mystery Inside Us

there is this kind of self
that hides within us
lurking like another
kind of head on your shoulder
silent and yet so devouring...

this is the mystery of keeping
up with sanity,

compromises, neat and tidy
sometimes
and then dirty and rusty, who cares?

walk the road, and join the dance
lock the room and be so silent

talk to yourself and be at peace.
