Meta 2

in the midst of suffering one goes back
to the things that are free

not even those expensive things please
when one is sitting beside the man with the scythe

one cannot run and flee and cannot even lift a single
word to say

exhausted one takes the shelter of sleep
inside those indifferent blankets
