Love's Triumph In Isolation
joy faces me
two hands hold my
hand calloused
by sorrow
the past fades
your fingers
entwine with
my fingers
as we walk
to a distance
no word comes
to say to sing
there are trees
and palms and roses
there is a bright day
ahead of us
such a beautiful world
we affirm
love can triumph
in isolation
