Civility

on the surface of
it is this casualness of

two people meeting by accident
like two boats merely

passing each other by
leaving some foams of waves

leaving this disturbance
that lasts for only a while

and then ti subsides and then
you remember nothing

except that feeling that
keeps on telling you: it should

have been that way, it should
have been, but you didn't

dare and you didn't last.
