A Picture Of An Engaged Couple

i had the chance of looking
again at the old picture of an engaged couple
on a marriage that did not push through
on a separation that was
so sudden like the horses of a race track
i have seen their eyes
they were so in love
i have seen their closeness
like a vine on a trellis
like the freshness of a morning glory
facing the new sun

somethings seemingly are not
what they really are
and i ask myself: where is that possibility of a wrong?
