A New Version Of My Life

life comes in my room
fresh from the rain
stripteasing me
so how can i not possibly embrace it
and forget
death?

oh, life is too forgiving
fleshy and sweet as cantaloupe and
supple as fresh
strawberry
how can i not take this irresistible
bite?
