A Marble Head Of A Handsome God In The Museum
only those who
have the money can afford this trip.
now we are all guided to the
site of an old and famous
country
somewhere in
Europe.
inside the museum is the head
of David
(is he a god? someone asks)
i am amazed
to the stone curl of his hair
and the smooth
white marble stature
before me.
there is no crack.
the greatness persists.
