tonight is a parting of
two legs and the meeting
of another two legs

tonight it is dark
and we shall provide the fire
that gives the heart
a hearth

it will be filled with light
and warmth inside our
armpits and hairs
and sweat

there is no reason to be sad
and be depressed
in a darkness that we do
not make

inside our minds we must
make the sun shine
we must make our own mornings
and clouds and
grassy grounds
