My First Lovely Experience

When I blushed to give
reins to my budding heart,
I got my first shock
from a piece of paper,
no, tempting lines,
with repeated raids,
smuggled my sleep
and sip from books.

Neither I touched her hand
nor my breath warmed her chest;
but she dwelt and smiled in my heart
and my smiles surprised all.

When the world was asleep
I would wander through the fields.
The pucks and reptiles had no threat,
but at caste wars, my mind began to fret.

I bore her in my younger heart
when I climbed over the hills
and swam across the rills.
I read aloud in places lonely
to fill my mind that lost often in reveries.

A silent boy I was on the earth
with something in my mind hidden.
When her parents praised me for some talents
I struggled to ride out that storm of love
but failed to extricate myself from its spell.

When I heard from a rogue
That my heartful heart
was a cheat and full of dirt,
I fell into a grievous ocean
to spoil the dreams of all.
