A Spot of Waterfalls (Thalakone-Andhra State, India)

On the rear side of the
Seven Hills off Tirupathi,
a silver cascade of
chill herbal water
rains from the top
moving to and fro
from left to right
for some twenty feet.
How this happens,
no one gives answers!

The weak and old can bathe
in the pond formed
beside the causeway.
Once you reach the slippy
spot of water-falls,
you will rush to sit
on the rock and say bye
to sly thoughts in mind.
Don't cavort or else
you will plumb the depths.

All of you shout with glee
for the gloom in minds to flee.
Don't cast your eyes on the girls
but fail not to see the colours
of the rays refracting
through the drizzles of water.
No where you can enjoy
the comfort of bathing there
in a hot after noon
in a sparse crowd of visitors.
