Democracy Today

Democracy today

Is democracy
Right for the Afghans or Iraqis
Unthinkable thought
Countries torn by tribalism
Certainly need a strongman
A one party state
Until institutions are in place
and people value
the principle of statehood
and take pride in their nation.
