Will Our Love Conquer All

You may live at the top of the hill,
but that doesn't mean much to me.
It's what you feel deep in your heart
and not silver spoons, and money.

I don't believe social standing is a reason
that two lovers should be kept apart.
We can make love work if you want it to,
just listen to your beating heart.

Please, don't give me second hand excuses,
this isn’t the way it should be.
We can make love work if you really want,
just give it a chance and see.

Don’t listen to your friends biased opinions,
those who don’t understand or care.
They’ve never experienced what we have,
or know how to love and share.

Please tell me that you still love me
and that you see it my way.
Say that we can and will be together,
and love will triumph today.

If on the other hand you think differently
and that love doesn't conquer all,
and you consider your head over your heart,
then I'm a fool who made the wrong call.
