Sentence Invasion

I’d been living in the clouds for many a year
and then one morning the sky was clear.
From out of that space inspiration was thrust
and the inclination to write was now a must.

At first it was just an ordinary October day,
but then masses of sentences came my way.
I was bombarded throughout night and day
even when I slept they didn’t stay away.

I don’t know why such poems came to me
some were serious and others were crazy.
I had no idea what was going to come next
my mind was continually churning out text.

Friends were puzzled by my sudden interest,
which encouraged them to supply poetic tests.
For three months lines poured out with ease
and now I write whenever I please.

Sleeping has improved I’m pleased to say
and words are less frequently coming my way.
With less flowing from the depths of my mind
I’m now seeking inspiration of any kind.
