Love Confirmed

Last night you asked me if I loved you
I said I think I did, but I wasn’t sure,
but then you said you needed an answer
because our relationship seemed insecure.

It’s taken more than some time to get here,
but now I can tell you that my love is real.
I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you any sooner,
but I had to be certain how I feel.

Now I’ve said that I definitely love you,
I feel so happy I could cry.
I can see that you’re thrilled and delighted,
but I can see doubt in your eye.

With all honesty I really do love you,
so please say what you have to say…
Wow! ! No wonder you’re anxious,
a baby has made this such a fantastic day! !
