Love
Gone are my adolescent days of fantasies and dreams
reality has arrived with love and deep feelings.
I never imagined that anyone could feel this way
not even for a moment, never mind an hour or day.
I don’t know what you did, but you did it to me
and you did it without touching, as any one can see.
You’re no witch, but you cast a magical spell of love
I’m not complaining I shout it thank God above.
You haven’t said, but do I have a similar affect on you,
do you do silly things that you don’t usually do?
Have you gone off your food and just refuse to eat,
is there a feeling in your stomach that leaves you weak?
Do you count away the minutes until we meet again
and maybe consider that you could be insane?
When we’re apart do you have jealousy in your head
and think that I may be with someone else instead?
Whenever we’re together your eyes tell me a story
they sparkle and smile, and inwardly explore me.
Your body talk, your eyes, your smile, everything you do,
I’m the happiest soul alive to be in love with you.
