I Can't Recall
When I opened my eyes after being asleep for many days
nothing appeared clear, everything was a haze.
They told me things would become clearer in no time at all,
and then even my memory would be able to recall.
When I was in the sleeping world, it was as if I was dead,
I had no thoughts in my mind or memories in my head.
No erotic imaginings or frightening horrific dreams,
just blank darkness, with no feelings of being.
But now I’m awake, where have I been for all these days
and what caused me to miss out in so many ways?
Why can’t I remember who I am and why I’m lying here?
I’ve no memory of my family, and feel no pain or fear.
You say that I was found in my car at the bottom of a river,
and I was rescued and revived by an anonymous life saver.
No one knows who rescued and gave life back to me that day,
but they say a white cloud appeared and then drifted away.
