A Beast’s About to Stir

Don’t go down to the lower zone
if you are on your own.
There’s something down there
that you should beware
and its not a bog-eyed clone.

For twenty-four hours, night or day
you’d have to feel your way.
It might be dark and damp,
and you could suffer with cramp,
and you may cry out, and pray.

If you touch the walls as you go,
secretions could begin to flow.
An all around shaking may occur,
as though a beast’s about to stir
from the deepest depths below.

There is something more to know
if you are tempted to go below.
You’ll never be the same again,
once you’ve experienced the pain
of a beast that never lets go.
