We Are The Tides

The sickle moon buoys and consigns
With the ruse to pilfer our times
And in her diffident graze I tarry
As somnolence fell upon the quietude;
A torpor for the slumbering disquietude
Anticipate I shan't heave, yet
The fear of heart halt cannot
For when I decanted myself unto you
And you inundated unto me,
We swelled like surging seas
Engulfing the fast waning moon
And there was infinitude in deluge
For the first long time I can reckon
And this expanse is a debauchery
Of the infinity that is a dream—
You are present yet remote
Far from my vehement desires
And yearnings, I wish to be
An arduous flaming sea—
A dreamy montage I wrought

For every phase of Luna's cheek
A time departs in the sans
And the strident sea grew calm
Yielding the terrors in our palms
Soon it will weigh us down
And our weary arms will fall
Catch no more, watch no more
Forgetting the basin we bore
Whilst the other drown
In the ebbs of his own sea
A devouring tide
Desolated in a phantom dance
Without a place to ferry

Without you I am smaller,
Denser, lesser, incomplete:
A dying eddy in a vast sea
Struggling in futility
To discover you as I scull
Deeply, heavily,
In sodden reveries.
