A single tear is shed

Conversational stop,
Pregnant pause.
Silence made with a scream,
Something to ignore.
Best time is no time.
And yet we float,
Past miracles of broken promises.
Catch nothing, say nothing
Nothing is all we hear.
When silence is broken
A single tear is shed.
