Winning The War

They brought the child back from wars
He transmitted a death-rattle
In the wettest of winters.
Step by step the sky clouded over
With its eyelids and snoring nature.
The children of battles were very fine
As broken eggs, caught in a time of war.
In the peace and silence time passed
And we won the war due to the infants.
